Resolve common problems
Check farm context, access, dates, and record state before retrying an operation.
Open in MilkSageI cannot see a record
- Check the active farm in the top bar.
- Clear restrictive search text and check date and status filters.
- Review archived, sold, deceased, completed, or cancelled views where applicable.
- Load more results if offered, then confirm you have permission to read that module.
An action is disabled or permission is denied
Ask the farm owner or an authorized administrator to check your membership and the required capability. Some actions also depend on the record state: for example, milk capture needs an eligible animal and a future feed reservation cannot be posted early.
A form will not save
- Read the field errors and the message above the form.
- Check required values, units, dates, selected records, stock availability, and any required open accounting period.
- If another user changed the record, reopen its latest version and review your changes again.
- After a connection error, check whether the record was saved before submitting a duplicate.
Numbers or reports look wrong
Compare the same farm and date range. Trace the source entries, reversals, milk usage or sales, and stock movements. A report file is a snapshot; generate it again for updated records. Record the module, date, record identifier, and exact error message when asking your farm administrator for help.
