Manage milk sales and payments

Keep buyers, dispatches, payments, and cash sales together.

Open in MilkSage

Set up a buyer and record a dispatch

  1. Open Milk records → Sales → Buyers and add the buyer’s details.
  2. Switch to Dispatches and start a dispatch record.
  3. Choose the buyer and enter the operational date, milk quantity, and sale details requested by the form.
  4. Select the relevant accounting period and accounts when requested, then save and review the dispatch.

Record money received

  1. Use Payments for a buyer payment against outstanding dispatches.
  2. Select the buyer, payment date, amount, and required accounting details. Review the receivables covered by the payment before submitting.
  3. Use Cash sales for a direct cash sale, rather than recording the same sale again as a buyer dispatch.
  4. Review the sales lists and Accounts to follow the resulting records.

Before posting

Prepare the required accounts and an open accounting period. If a posted sale or payment is incorrect, use its available reversal action and review the related records before recording a replacement.
